According to chairman Jim Ziemer, Harley-Davidson wants to expand its presence in Europe.
With this take-over, Harley-Davidson adds the sporty motorcycles of Agusta and Cagiva to its offerings.

17.07.2008 - UPDATE: Harley-Davidson 2Q2008 Net down 25% to $222,8 million.
The company suffers from a decreasing demand as a result of high oil prices and an slowdown of the economic growth in the United States.
Turnover decreased with almost 3% to $1,57 billion.
