STF - Help

STF HELP command

The STF software has a built-in Help function. Enter 'HELP' from a 3270 session of use the MVS modify command to display Help information on an MVS console: 'F STF,HELP'

HELP overview

Help members are stored in (and read from) the STFHELP dataset. This can be any PDS with LRECL= 80, allocated to DDNAME= STFHELP. The member name equals the HELP operand.

Help members should not contains more than 133 lines of data. Although LRECL= 80 characters, only the first 72 characters are displayed.

Enter 'HELP DIR'      to list all HELP members,
   or 'HELP TERMINAL' to list 3270 terminal control commands,
   or 'HELP COMMANDS' to list all STF commands.

Enter 'HELP DIR' to list the HELP members in STFHELP,
or 'HELP HELP' for the rules to create HELP members.
